We're 70% to get it pierced yesterday at Jem since she was rather enthuastic about it. But we've booked a indoor play pool at punggol safra today so we decided to bring her for piercing after the chlorine play today.
When we settled down at home, i took out 3 pairs of my earrings wanting her to try to poke thru my ears so that she can have a feel of how wearing earrings are like. She was so excited all about it.
I read about articles the entire night about Stellar and seems that it is rather a popular choice, safe and seems comfortable with their service.
So, this morning i decided to tell mei more about it. Example, not removing the earrings, etc. So then i asked her again if she wanted to get her ears pierced. She hesistated and said no. My heart sunk.
We proceeded to the indoor play pool as promised to the kids. Then headed to Bugis Stellar. We were asking more about the services although we have already know what is it going to be like and the costs. I am just trying to buy some time so that mei can get some time to familiarise the environment and the salesgirl attending to us.
We did used about 5 to 10mins to try to get her into the shop and seated down for the preparation. At first she choose a pair which cost the least.... about $138. But wasnt really very outstanding and fanciful. We thought to get her something really nice since she need to wear it for the whole year. And of cuz, i am all prepared to pay for whichever she have choosen. I thought this would be a meaningful 4th birthday present for her - a lifetime ears piercing.
So in the end she choose a 14k White Gold pair of shimmering pink studs which cost $248. This will include a bunny, a balloon, a certificate and of cuz the piercing service.
From marking on her mini earloops to giving her a bunny and balloon, i was so worried of any hiccups which i may noy forsee.
1, 2, 3, clicked! Done. She didnt have any expression. No cries, no smile, no sulking. I was wondering, is it really not painful? But of cuz i didnt mention a thing about pain etc.
Then i proceeded to write her name on the certificate for her bravery and she is getting ready to get her photoshot by the salesgirl. I sensed that she will be crying anytime but she was holding on to it VERY WELL. No tears.
I paid up and listen attentively for the aftercare instructions.

■ 2 to 3 months no removal of earrings
■ 1 year to wear it for 24/7
■ 1 week no swimming
■ to become a princess forever :)
